Sadhana Spiritual Morning Practice

“Sadhana gives fearlessness and a sense of self, as well as projection, polarity combination, equilibrium, respectability, totality, internal and external self-knowlege, purity, dignity, divinity, and grace..You become a shining, living grace.” Yogi Bhajan
Many Kundalini yogis begin their morning sadhana with the recitation of Japji, a Sikh holy prayer. Although Japji is a standard part of what is known as the Aquarian Sadhana, and a beautiful and powerful spiritual practice, you do not have to recite Japji as a part of your morning sadhana. Sadhana is between you and you, so choose wisely what you do.

The Yoga Set

Physical exercise is an important part of sadhana.  Kriya help us to get our circulation going, remove tension and release emotional blocks. It cleans the organs, stimulates the glandular system, and awakens the will.  Practice a suitable Kundalini yoga kriya as taught by Yogi Bhajan. More even than physical fitness, this process of sadhana gives you spiritual fitness, and the chance to work out your mind, so for the rest of your day all you have to work out is your life.  The yoga and relaxation will take about an hour.

Chanting the Aquarian Sadhana Mantras

After Japji and about 25-30 minutes of yoga (followed by relaxation), everyone comes together to chant the Aquarian Sadhana mantras.

Ending the Aquarian Sadhana

Usually one sings the Long Time Sun song and chanting Long Sat Naams.

The attendance of sadhana is free, however a small donation will be appreciated to cover room costs. For more info contact Daria.

Monday – New Years Day

Rocket Yoga is here!!

Monday 7:30pm-8:30pm at Oneyogastudio , with Danny Solomon… starting from 20th November!

Rocket Yoga was created in the 1980s by Larry Schultz, who was a direct student of Pattabhi Jois, the creator of Ashtanga Yoga.

After studying with Sri K Pattabhi Jois for seven years, Larry created his own style of ‘Power Yoga’. Whilst on tour with the Grateful Dead as their private yoga teacher, guitarist Bob Weir said to Larry that the system should be called ‘The Rocket’, “because it gets you there faster”.

Weir was probably referring to the fast paced, high energy, core intensive nature of Rocket Yoga. Rocket places an emphasis on uddiyana bandha (core) strengthening which enables practitioners to access arm balances and inversions more easily. It is rooted in Ashtanga Yoga, so Ashtanga practitioners will recognise many of the postures.

What distinguishes Rocket from the Ashtanga series is it’s access to modifications. Rocket Yoga is available to all, the practitioner takes full ownership of their practice. If your body is not capable of doing a certain pose, you modify and find the pose for you. We concentrate on the flow. Breath and movement and working with yourself.

Dark Moon Dance

Friday 21st July  7.45-9pm

The Dark Moon also know as the New Moon 🌙

The Dark Moon calls us to move into a space of getting clear on where we are, who we are and what we are calling into our lives.
This is the most magic time to manifest and call in our dreams and desires.
As she wanes away from earth leaving us with little to no lunar light we are offered the space to explore & connect to the light within.

This evening offers

• New Moon meditation
• Free Movement

What you will need

• Open Heart
• Pen & Journal

As this is the first event of this kind I have asked that we set up the investment as donation based … pay what you feel.

All proceeds will go towards the BASIC Charity

“Since its inception in 1994, BASIC has been providing counselling, information and support services for patients and their families following a brain or spinal injury Although a relatively small charity BASIC supports patients in a number of ways nationally, regionally and locally. We have significantly raised awareness of conditions affecting the brain and led the way in raising funding for research projects and life saving new technology.”

Free movement is a creative, embodied movement practice for our current times. It is rooted in the understanding of how change happens. Its intention is to help you to access more of the physical and emotional intelligence that’s inside you through bringing awareness to the way you move, feel and think.
Free movement is an invitation for personal empowerment, where the flow is free and intuitively lead by our own body.
